CTA Robotic Systems Integrators - About

History
Pratt and Whitney Automation is a marriage of CTA and AST.  AST was a division of Pratt and Whitney specializing in robotic waterjet stripping in the aerospace industry.  CTA was founded to meet the unique requirements of providing manufacturing technology for applying exotic materials to advanced stealth aircraft. During the development phase of early stealth aircraft programs, we developed a new level of risk mitigation using innovative computer simulation and risk reducing testing. This process ensured the performance requirements of the coating and coating systems could be achieved. CTA then provided the robotic manufacturing technology used to apply stealth materials to the aircraft.

As P&W Automation, we are now applying those lessons learned to provide our customers with the best possible technical performance at the best possible price. PWA is the company that introduced the competitive commercial pricing approach to the aerospace market.

Headquartered in Madison, Alabama, and with branch operations in Palmdale, CA., PWA provides coast-to-coast coverage. PWA technicians can quickly respond to a customer's needs anywhere in the country.

Whether it is coating shoe soles, spraying adhesive onto automotive interior door panels, stripping helicopter engine containers, coating Space Shuttle main engine components, robotically threading bolts, gluing felt onto tennis balls or applying special coatings on high performance stealth aircraft-Give us the tough stuff.
