Pratt & Whitney Automation provides production services for low volume, high precision coating, coating removal and assembly manufacturing processes.
PWA's production capabilities include state-of-the-art robotics, process hardware, spray booths, ovens, and skilled personnel. Utilizing our capabilities reduces manufacturing costs, ensures quality, and meets production schedules.
Our US Government-approved secure facility can handle special coating and painting projects any size, no matter how small or how large.
PWA is AS 9100 certified and our quality system is NASA qualified for manned space flight.
Many projects have low production volumes and /or require
highly skilled applicators or robotics to perform the coating
application task. Projects that include the application of
radar absorbing materials, thermal protection materials, IR
and sonar absorbing materials are excellent candidates for PWA contract coating services.
PWA contract manufacturing experience includes applying signature
reduction coatings to vehicles used by the US military.
The Space Shuttle main engine fuel pumps are another example
of the use of PWA production services. PWA performs the entire
thermal protection coating process - receiving the part, stripping
off the old coatings, surface preparation, application of
new thermal protection barriers, curing the thermal materials,
and testing. There is no job too hard or too unusual for
PWA.
