During the Engineering Manufacturing Development phase of early stealth aircraft programs, PWA developed a new level of risk mitigation by providing innovative computer simulation and risk reduction testing, ensuring that the performance requirements of the coating and coating systems could be achieved. Our computerized process simulation provides a powerful tool for internal engineering of system integration and off-site robot programming and path updating. PWA engineers can build a digital model of the entire automated manufacturing process in the virtual world of the computer. We take your requirements through this digital process and validate the PWA approach to meeting your automation needs. This allows us to significantly reduce risk and costs, while ensuring process accuracy and technical viability. The digital model can then be validated through our lab testing to ensure that all of the customer's requirements are met. By using this approach, we can tackle the tough jobs of working with new or exotic materials or manufacturing processes that are not fully defined.

Coating Process Development
PWA has developed processes for applying adhesives, coatings and paints to products ranging from tennis balls to automotive interior plastic parts to stealth aircraft. Coating Removal Processes
PWA has developed processes for removal of adhesives, thermal protection systems, coatings and paints to a wide variety of products. The coating removal process has been successfully applied to products such as tennis balls, automotive interior plastic parts and stealth aircraft. We are now utilizing our capabilities with those products and expanding upon them to provide our customers with the best possible technical performance at the best possible price.

Material Handling Processes
PWA has developed automated processes for applications as diverse as handling and grinding glass, packaging of foods and palletizing large automotive components. The process development efforts performed by PWA eliminate risks associated with the start up of new manufacturing processes.

Production Coating Services
